Project Overview
As the Lead Product Designer, I led the design and development of an innovative NFT media player feature within a crypto wallet application. The feature aimed to cater to the rising demand for seamless access to audio and video NFTs, specifically targeting the growing music and video NFT communities. My approach focused on creating a secure, user-friendly media player integrated into the wallet, driving token utility and revenue generation.
Problem
Lack of Interface
Unintuitive & Fragmented
The crypto wallet lacked a dedicated, easy-to-use interface for managing and interacting with NFTs, especially for audio and video media types.
Users faced difficulties accessing and engaging with digital art and music NFTs due to an unintuitive and fragmented experience.
Keep Up with Market
The wallet missed a revenue opportunity by not aligning with the growing NFT market’s demand for specialized media players.
Solution
Design a seamless NFT media player integrated into the wallet for secure access to audio and video NFTs, offering a smooth user experience, enhancing token utility, and creating a new revenue stream through a paywall model.

With insights in hand, I mapped out the user journey to ensure an intuitive and seamless interaction. The media player needed to be integrated in a way that felt natural within the existing wallet structure.

Design Solution
Dashboard Integration and Media Access
Problem
The dashboard was already filled with complex features, and there was little room to add new functionalities.
Solution
I strategically placed the multimedia player icon in the top-right corner, ensuring it was visible but did not overwhelm the existing content. I used widely recognized iconography to ensure users instantly understood the function.
NFT Media Player Design
Problem
How to create a user-friendly audio and video player that supports both media types while enhancing the user experience.
Solution

Audio Player: I designed an intuitive audio player interface for listening to NFT music, allowing users to view other related music by the same creator for an immersive experience.

Video Player: Integrated a video player that supports NFT video playback with a simple, clean interface. Users could easily access other videos from the same creator, promoting more engagement with their content.
Monetization Strategy and Paywall Integration
Problem
How to generate revenue without alienating users.
Solution
I introduced a tiered paywall, offering a free trial and locking advanced features (e.g., exclusive NFT content and additional customization) behind a premium subscription. This incentivized users to invest in tokens and unlock richer experiences.
